All about ORDI (Part 1): Type of Blockchain, Where to Buy and Exchange ORDI, and How to Store It

Ordinals (ORDI) is a new unique cryptocurrency project. It uses inscriptions on the Bitcoin blockchain to store information in the form of text, sound, video, NFTs, and so on. The information is written to Satoshi, the smallest Bitcoin unit. The inscription doesn’t need to actually use a token, it writes information to it.

So, this is the first crypto project developed on the Bitcoin blockchain, and ORDI is the first coin developed in brc-20 standard. It has set a new standard in crypto and demonstrated a completely different use case of the Bitcoin blockchain.

Where to Buy and Exchange ORDI

ORDI has already made waves in the world of crypto. This is why it is not surprising that is listed on many exchanges, including Gate.io, BKEX, Coins, Bitmart, BingX, and of course, by LetsExchange.

LetsExchange allows you to buy ORDI for one of 3,900+ coins and tokens supported by the platform, or to use fiat for purchasing a supported cryptocurrency and then, buy ORDI with that cryptocurrency.

Our platform doesn’t require a mandatory registration to buy ORDI, nor does it request you to provide any information of personal or financial character. There are no upper limits for swaps so you can buy as many Ordinals as you wish.

To proceed with purchasing ORDI or swapping any other coin to ORDI, you need to:

  • Open the exchange widget, and fill in the You Sent and You Get field. Pick the coin you want to sell, and in the You Get field, pick ORDI.
  • After that, type in the sum you want to sell or the amount of ORDI coins you want to get. The other value will be calculated automatically.
  • Copy-paste the wallet address to which you want to receive your ORDI coins.
  • Send the needed deposit to the wallet we’ve provided.
  • Wait until the swap is processed, and download a receipt with all the swap details.

Where to Store ORDI

ORDI is a unique cryptocurrency. As the first cryptocurrency created on the Bitcoin blockchain, in a new brc-20 standard, it may not be supported by the wallets you’ve been using until now such as MetaMask, for example.

However, considering the fact that the coin is gaining popularity, many wallets hurry to add ORDI to the list of supported coins. For now, you can store ORDI in Ordinals Wallet (went live in February 2023), the XVerse wallet, and Hiro wallet. It is quite possible that more wallets have added the support of ORDI by now.

Bottom Line

ORDI is a unique coin but its rapid rise makes us reconsider the importance of the Bitcoin blockchain and the possible rumors about the slow death of the main cryptocurrency. Ordinals have started a new era in blockchain development, and it is just a start.
