AMA session with LetsExchange and Ice Open Network

May 30, 2024 2 min read

LetsExchange, the one-stop crypto exchange hub supporting over 4,500 coins and tokens, and the brilliant minds behind Ice Open Network held a joint AMA session. The event took place on Twitter spaces.

We enjoyed speaking with Coeus and Zeus from ICE Open Network. They shared the journey behind the creation of ICE. The discussion also touched on exciting plans for airdrops to reward ICE token holders as new projects launch under the tap-to-mine ecosystem. Additionally, Coeus revealed key milestones, including the recent Testnet release, the Frostbyte beta, and the introduction of the Hermatic bot.

John from LetsExchange: What inspired the creation of the ICE Open Network, and how did the journey begin?

Coeus: We started building a software service product 12 years ago, which gave us a lot of time to understand the market and how technologies were developing. We've been involved in blockchain from the beginning, though more passively initially. But then we became as active as possible. Two main factors inspired us to create ICE: our core values of decentralization and freedom of speech and our mission to facilitate the transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 for billions of users.

John from LetsExchange: Many users are holding ICE tokens in their private wallets. Are there plans to make an airdrop for these ICE token holders?

Zeus: Yes, we've addressed this often and announced it on Twitter a few weeks ago. ICE holders will have opportunities with new projects launching under the tap-to-mine ecosystem technology. Even if you don't participate in tap-to-mine by downloading the app and doing the daily tap, you can still benefit from new projects launching under the ecosystem just by holding ICE.

Coeus: Holders of ICE will qualify for airdrops related to new projects simply by holding ICE coins. This utility is designed to reward and incentivize the community's engagement and support. Essentially, just by possessing ICE tokens, holders automatically become eligible for airdrops as new projects are launched.

John from LetsExchange: What important milestones and advancements should the community expect in the near future?

Coeus: With the recent Testnet release, we plan to create the entire infrastructure and the features on top of it in the near future. Two weeks ago, we launched the beta version of Frostbyte, a component of Ion Liberty, which is part of the main blockchain. We also announced Hermatic, an ALGO trading bot developed over the past four years. We also announced our first tap-to-mine application that's gonna run on our ecosystem.

John from LetsExchange: Nadine, can you tell us about ICE and the availability for LetsExchange users?

Nadine: ICE is available to exchange for thousands of other cryptocurrencies on LetsExchange. These are just a few of the questions we tackled during the AMA session. For a deeper dive into the project's early phases, the innovative tap-to-mine technology, updates to the $ICE utility, and much more, check out the full AMA.
